Academic Research Centre for Aerospace Engineering

The Centre is a platform of multidisciplinary interdepartmental cooperation of Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) research groups established to conduct joint research and develop cooperation with industrial organisations conducting cooperative projects in the area of aerospace science. The Centre was established in 2012 on the basis of the research potential of the WUT Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

By involving several WUT faculties, the Centre provides access to research facilities and specialised research staff, enabling numerical and experimental research in the following areas:

  • Aerodynamics
  • Control system automation
  • Electrical engineering and electronics
  • Materials engineering
  • Flight mechanics
  • Aircraft engines and combustion
  • Structural and material strength
