The Silesian Science and Technology Centre of Aviation Industry is one of Europe’s most modern centres of production of composite structures in the autoclave technology and research labs. It began operations in 2012 and focuses on providing services to the aviation industry with the potential to diversify to yachting, the automotive industry, railways, and wind power – all areas that require light and durable materials ensuring user safety.
The main division of the centre is the Composite Structures Laboratory, which produces composite elements made of prepregs cured using the autoclave technology. The produced elements can be machined with the highest degree of precision thanks to the use of a 5-axis milling centre with a high working area. The static tests laboratory is capable of conducting endurance and non-destructive tests with the application of the most modern research and measurement equipment.
